Personal word

I entered the world of tech out of a strong passion for reverse engineering, writing code, and making my ideas come to life, which are still my main passions to this day.

Ethics are key to my approach of work. I see a strong link between embracing diversity and successful projects. Individual growth without elevating others is collective failure.

On my free time, I also work as a game designer. I have a separate game design CV and portfolio.

I am always open to meeting new people and exploring new challenges.

Feel free to add and contact me on my LinkedIn page.

Detailed career

Freelance
Tech consulting
Since Nov. 2020

Looking to self-isolate during the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I returned to freelancing. As a technical consultant, I oversee ITSM projects and cybersecurity audits, ensuring the proper implementation of all processes necessary to guarantee stability and security in their future day to day production operations.

Wynd
Head of support & maintenance
Jan. 2019 - Oct. 2020

Having raised 72m€ in series C funding, Wynd were looking to stabilize their projects by assembling a "Run" team. I was hired as the right hand of the head of run, in charge of the long term maintenance (OEM + TPM) of existing projects, tasked with ensuring the stability of production environments and establishing positive relationships with customers in order to upsell new features.

MTD Finance
Head of IT
Nov. 2016 - Dec. 2018

Having previously been their lead developer, I returned to MTD Finance to oversee the project of fully outsourcing their IT, while acting as an interim head of IT and product manager in the meantime.

Freelance
Tech consulting
Mar. 2015 - Oct. 2016

Having completed my work with MTD Finance, I decided to alter my career path by transitioning out of being a developer. In the role of a technical manager, I would act as an external third party, ensuring project managers and developer teams managed to deliver quality software at the expected date. In the role of a technical consultant, I would oversee ITSM projects, cybersecurity audits, and GDPR conformity audits, ensuring the proper implementation of all processes necessary to guarantee stability and security in their future day to day production operations.

MTD Finance
Lead developer
Jun. 2010 - Feb. 2015

Having started their digital transformation earlier than most, MTD Finance already had a custom made internal tool which covered most of their business' scope, from finding leads to generating financial predictions from sales data. However, this tool had many underlying architectural issues due to its age, and suffered from performance woes. I joined the company offering to work on a new iteration of the tool, while also maintaining the existing one.

Freelance
Web developer
Mar. 2010 - Jun. 2010

My experience as a full time software developer led me to the conclusion that I did not want to be limited to a purely coding role in the future, but would also want to be involved in the day to day activities of a business and its employees, aswell as in the architecture and functional design phases of what I worked on. As it seemed I had more odds of reaching those goals as a web developer, I decided to return to freelance work in order to hone my skills by learning modern web development standards.

Mécamatic
Full stack developer
Jul. 2009 - Mar. 2010

Mécamatic needed to be ahead of the curve in their digital transformation, or risk being overtaken by their competition. As a solo developer, I used their existing FileMaker environment on OSX machines in order to develop a fully custom application which helped digitize most of their business needs.

Freelance
Independent developer
Jul. 2006 - Jun. 2009

Self-taught, with no degree or formal technical education, the first three years of my career were spent as a digital nomad, doing any job I could find in order to learn and hone my craft. Most jobs during those years were short term freelance missions found on Internet forums.
